Providing value based technical education and moulding the character of the young generation for the service of society is the basic aim of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Polytehnic College (BBSBPC) Fatehgarh Sahib.The College provides modern infrastructural and technological support to facilitate teaching,lerarning and overalldevelopment.It is a combination of curricular instensity and action orientation merged with intellectual freedom and value-consciousness that together lends a speical edge to BBSBPC.

The college was established in the year 2006 by Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Education Trust,formed under the patronage of Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee with the approval of the Govt.of Punjab.

Our mission is to mould the youth into world class technocrats of tomorrow who would endeavour to uplift the quality of life for human kind and contribute significantly to the advancement of global society.It is our strife to fulfill this mission that has put BBSBPC today among the few top Polytechnic college of Punjab since its inception.

At BBSBPC,we provide an education system that looks beyond employment and concentrates on individual development by imparting them skills for lifetime relevance.Academic excellence and holistic education define learning at BBSBPC.Our education system enables the students to monitor thir performance through their particiption in a variety of learning activities such as class discussion,case presentations,assignments,quizzes,term papers,sessionals and general conduct and behavior at the college.

Here the technical knowledge gained by the students is complemented by imbibing interpersonal skills and spirit of entrepreneurship that makes them competitive enough to face the global challenges and emerge as achievers.

The College is approved by A.I.C.T.E.,New Delhi,Ministry of H.R.D.Govt.of India and is affiliated to Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training,Chandigarh.The college offers Diploma programms in Computer,Electronics and Communication,Mechanical,Automobile and Civil Engineering with an intake capacity of 420 students.

The college is situated in an idyllic environment and is housed in a sprawling pollution free campus of 11 acres and a located in sacred surroundings of historic Gurdwaras of Fatehgarh Sahib which stand a testimony to the supreme sacrifice of the two younger sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji i.e.Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh Ji,who were bricked alive here at the tender age of 9 and 7 years respectively. Mata Gujar Kaur Ji,mother of Guru Gobind Singh Ji,also breathed her last here after the esisode of supreme sacrifice of her grandsons.The college is named after Baba Banda Singh Bahadur a great saint and warrior who was deputed by Guru Gobind Singh Ji to conquer the Sirhind Fort and to put an end to the tyranny of Mughal Empire.

Fatehgarh Sahib has an ideal geographical location with the proximity to three important cities of the regions i.e.Chandigarh,Ludhiana and Patiala.The college is located at 5 kilometers from Sirhind Railway Station,42 kilometers from Chandigarh,65 kilometers from Ludhiana, 40 kilometers fron Roopnager and 35 kilometers from Patiala.

Our college is one of the most sought after Diploma College for admission by the students who qualify in the School Board Examination (10th Class) Conducting by PSEB,Punjab.All the seats get filed instantaneously during the counselling sessions.
